Today, Mr. White represents individuals and small businesses against professionals and large corporations. He has obtained millions of dollars in compensation for his clients and has caused significant changes to be made in the healthcare industry to ensure patient safety. Many of these cases involve catastrophic brain injury or wrongful death caused by medical error or injuries resulting from tractor-trailer accidents.
Mr. White also has an extensive practice in class actions and multi-district litigation. He has acted as lead-counsel in class actions that have been certified in both state and federal courts in Kentucky and other states throughout the United States. Mr. White served as co-lead plaintiff’s counsel for a certified class of over 297,000 class members in In Re: First Command Securities Litigation, one of the nation’s largest broker-dealer securities fraud class actions. This case resulted in a national class settlement valued at over $50 million dollars and a settlement with the NASD and SEC and federal legislation prohibiting the sale of systematic investment plans (SIP’s) to consumers. He currently serves on the Plaintiffs' Steering Committee of MDL No. 1988 In Re: Countrywide Financial Corp. Mortgage Marketing and Sales Practices Litigation being litigated in United States District Court Southern District of California. He also serves as co-lead class counsel for several class actions pending in both state and federal courts involving environmental pollution/ contamination, consumer/ financial fraud, unpaid overtime (FLSA/ wage and hour) and anti-trust violations. Mr. White has also represents private investors against stockbrokers and financial planners for mishandling investments.
Mr. White has been selected to join Kentucky Super Lawyers, ATLA Top 100 Plaintiff Lawyers in Kentucky and Law Dragon 3000. He is also a member of the Private Investors Arbitration Bar Association, Securities Investments Analytics Association, Interstate Trucking Litigation Group, the Nursing Home Litigation Group, The Kentucky Academy of Trial Attorneys, The Louisville Bar Association, and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
Mr. White and is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Kentucky and the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals.
