A 37-year-old woman from Michigan and her young son were injured on Interstate 75 in Kentucky.  Donna R. Majewski, of Temperance, Michigan, was heading south on I-75 when her 2003 Jeep Liberty entered the median.  Her SUV lost control and flipped on the right shoulder of the southbound lane.

According to a press release from the Kentucky State Police, the crash took place at approximately 12:19 PM on Tuesday, May 26, 2009.  Majewski was wearing her seat belt at the time of the accident and her 16-month-old son was secured in a child safety seat.  Both mother and son were taken to Baptist Regional Medical Center.  The toddler is believed to be uninjured, according to the KSP press release.

Alcohol and drugs are not believed to be factors in the Kentucky car accident.

Kentucky State Police Trooper Richie Baxter was the one who responded to the scene and he is still completing an investigation into the accident.  Baxter was assisted by Kentucky State Police Trooper Barry Blair, the Laurel County Ambulance Inc. and the Laurel County Rescue Squad.
